Landon wins inaugural Maryland private school state golf championship

The Landon golf team won the inaugural Maryland private school state golf championship on Tuesday at the University of Maryland, finishing with a team score of 399, ahead of DeMatha (414), Bullis, and Good Counsel (both 447). Bears junior Will LeBlanc led Landon with a 3-over 75, placing second individually. Coach Andrew Luther praised the team's performance, noting the win provides momentum ahead of the IAC Championships. The state tournament, initiated by local coaches, marked a new era for Maryland private school golf, with plans for expansion next year.
